In this legendary and ancient land, there exist people like spirits who observe the order of the mortal realm. One of them is a girl named "Chon", who has reached an age where she must undergo a test called the "Passage Ceremony" to experience the world of humans alone and explore it. When her time to return has come, she gets caught in a storm while on a fishing boat and is rescued by a human boy. Although the boy drowns in the incident and loses his life, "Chon" returns to her world with a feeling of being completely guilty. After that incident, she meets the "Spirit Guardian" and decides to revive the boy at the cost of half of her lifespan. Although she had little knowledge, intervening in the natural order of the world will have severe consequences... "The Big Blue Fish" is the story of "Chon"'s sacrifice and redemption, as she confronts death, love, and her feelings with her limited abilities. She must make a decision: whether to sacrifice everything to save the life of a mortal human or give up her moral obligation to protect the order of the world.
